Syrian humanitarian crisis

This inforgraphic prepared by The Royal Hashemite Court (also be found on Twitter and Visual.ly) shows the impact the Syrian refugee crisis, due to the brutal civil war, has had on Jordan.

There are 6.5 million internally displaced Syrians and 2.5 million Syrian refugees in neighbouring countries.

One of the refugee camps in Jordan is Zaatari Refugee Camp. To put in perspective the number of Syrian refugees in Jordan, the camp has become the country’s fourth largest city.

In April another refugee camp opened with a capacity to hold 130,000 more refugees.
